7. Your Light is Dim (Chapter 39)
Considering all the different insults Aomine could have devised to throw at Kagami, this is actually a fairly straightforward, totally understandable, and mostly non-ridiculous extension of the metaphor.
(Of course Aomine would have had to assume that Kuroko had explained the light-shadow concept to Kagami, but as has been demonstrated, Kuroko wasted no time in informing Kagami and Seirin that he is Kagami-kun’s shadow now, not Aomine-kun’s.)
In any case, Kagami gets the insult. His light is dim.His basketball is dim. His academic ability is dim too! As far as Aomine’s metaphors go this is actually a surprisingly apt one.
